This is a steak recipie that I recently had a chance to experiment with until I found the proper technique.

Items needed

New York Strip/ Kansas City Strip steak. [12-17 dollars, suggested Organic]
One bottle of Southern Comfort [25 bucks worth]
A broiler-equipped oven, or grill.
Raspberry preserves [Organic is best]
Marination pan or bag.

Now, it's pretty strait forward. Pour enough SoCo into the bag/pan to bathe the steak till about one centimeter of meat is out of the bath. Allow to soak over-night, or 6 hours minimum. then, after preparing the broiling pan/grill, broil/grill as normal. A typical strip steak at medium-well will cook five minutes each side. About three minutes in, bring the steak forward and brush on the raspberry preserves. Only a light brushing will do, since it's a piece of meat and not toast.

repeat process for next side, and serve with a clear liquor, or a bitter beer. Red-cabbage/crab in a dairy [Ranch, 1000 Island] is suggested for accompaniment.

See, as delicious as that sounds, it's just too much fucking effort.

What my usual meal consists of:

1 steak (cheap but good quality, around one euro)
one 62,5 gram bag of rice
A bit of vegetable - usually half a paprika
1 packet of mushroom/green or black pepper sauce

1) Boil rice, take it out and put it on a plate
2) Cook steak and veg
3) Take the steak and veg out, chop it up into small pieces
4) Heat up the sauce, mix the steak, veg and rice
5) Pour the sauce over the rest of the ingredients
6) Eat.

Remarkably tasty and cost-effective IMO.

I like it when animals die for my dinner.

You've got to get your pain and suffering just right. If one if off balance, it taste wrong.

Granted, to some, all meat taste wrong. And the same 'some' will obviously out life me and my dinner by a good many years.
